As an archaeologist often on the go, I recently found myself at the Ram Inn, and it was a delightful surprise. Kath, the landlady, greeted us warmly, making us feel right at home amidst her charming pub that's clearly beloved by locals-always a good sign. My room was immensely comfortable, complete with a cozy bed and a quirky setup for the sink and shower, which added a touch of character. Dining in the pub was a treat; Kath tailored my Ultimate Burger to fit my keto diet, and it was as delicious as it was hearty, perfect after a day of contemplating ancient ruins. Though breakfast isn't served, the nearby café she recommended opened early and offered a wonderful English start to the day. I'd definitely return for another restful night and a pint of real ale!
